Strange Town is a love letter to NYC. The full-length debut album is in the spirit of early '80s singer/songwriters. It was made on the circus train between 2007 and 2009, in dozens of U.S. train yards and on dozens of train runs. The down-tempo songs are guitar driven, but you'll also hear piano, horns and solo saxophone.

States enlisted a Houston-based deejay for the remix. Mike Ator plays all of the instruments except Bill Leary’s sax solo which is from the original album version. A free digital booklet for the single is available at www.Ryan-States.com.
